A cry I particularly miss during these days of nearly torrential rain: that of our good old Gallic rooster.
Other than the whimsical weather, I was surprised to learn that the Olympic committee had apparently decided to use the Phrygian cap as its mascot.

I thought I’d honour Gallus gallus domesticus my own way, here’s the end result.

Originally, the sewing pattern was designed to make a phoenix but I think it’s just as suitable to make a rooster or a chick plush

If choosing the colours of the French flag was obvious, combining them was more difficult than expected

When we think of the Olympic Games, it’s hard not to think of the Olympic flame, hence its recurring appearance with this stuffed toy
